MOVIES: Special Screenings — “Killer Biker Chicks” in Glitter Gulch
Sex and drugs and rock 'n' roll ... and murder.
That's the recipe for "Killer Biker Chicks," a made-in-Vegas (and made-in-Dyer) movie screening at 8 p.m. Saturday at The Bunkhouse, 124 S. 11th St.
The premiere is open to the public. Admission to the bash — which includes a concert by four bands featured in the flick — is $5.
Filmmaker Regan Redding (who wrote, produced, directed and co-stars) describes "Killer Biker Chicks" as a "black comedy" featuring a motley cast of characters, from midgets to transsexuals to a glam band. Throw in dirty cops, an Azerbaijan tourist (played by veteran local actor Rusty Meyers) and you have "a classic B-movie," Redding promises. Elske McCain, Scarlet Salem, Sara Plotkin, Rose Gorlano, Brenna Lee Roth and Trent Haaga lead the cast.
Redding, a longtime Las Vegan, plans to follow "Killer Biker Chicks" with "Moonshine Girls," to be filmed in Texas, after which he plans to shoot additional features in Southern Nevada.
