MOVIES: ‘X’ marks the spot for ‘Wolverine’ premiere contest

  Las Vegas hosts movie premieres all the time.
  And, if enough local movie fans "X-ert" themselves, we might add another to the list: the world premiere of the new "X-Men" spinoff, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which hits screens May 1.
  Unless, of course, enough Las Vegans vote online to bring the April 27 premiere here.
  Last time I checked, Las Vegas was No. 7 on the list of cities vying to host the debut, complete with star Hugh Jackman, with Davis, Calif., in the lead. Hastings, Neb. (birthplace of Kool-Aid, in case you were wondering) and Austin, Texas, were running No. 2 and No. 3.
