Murder victims to be remembered during ceremony

A ceremony observing the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Saturday at Firefighters Memorial Park at Redwood Street and West Oakey Boulevard, on the south side of Bonanza High School.

During the ceremony, surviving friends and family members can pay tribute to their lost loved ones.

The event is sponsored by the Metropolitan Police Department, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office and the valley-based nonprofit group the Community Coalition for Victims Rights.
