MUSIC: In Tabbies We Trust
We never need much of an excuse to go drinking.
It usually works something like this: “What? The sun came up! Let’s get bombed!”
But occasionally, we can get loaded for a good cause, you know, better the world around us with a clutch of Jager bombs.
Such is the case on Saturday, with the “Do It for the Pussy…Cats” benefit show at Squiggy’s (3805 W. Sahara Ave.)
Headlined by ace local femme punk fire starters The Dirty Panties, along with Leaving Springfield, In The Night, The Latchkey Kidz and others, all proceeds from the show will be going to the Heaven Can Wait Animal Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter.
In addition, an autographed guitar from former Black Flag six-stringer Greg Ginn will be auctioned off, there will be a raffle for items donated by the Supersuckers, Mid-Fi Records, SST Records and others and a surprise performance by a burlesque troupe.
So show up and knock back some of Squiggy’s internationally renowned $2.50 Pabst tallboys. The kitties will appreciate it.
Your liver, not so much.
