MUSIC: John 5 Hosts Guitar Clinic

He’s played for Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie and now he’s going to play for you.
Guitarist John 5, who initially came to fame upon replacing former Manson guitarist Zim Zum in ’98, is holding a guitar clinic tonight at the Guitar Center (6587 Las Vegas Blvd. South).
In addition to performing songs off his new solo disc, “Requiem,” 5 will be discussing his experiences in the music biz and his custom new Fender Telecaster.
The guy’s toured the world, earned gold records and made a name for himself with his inventive picking techniques, and now you can find out what it’s all about without having to sleep in a crappy tour bus bunk for months on end.
The session begins at 6 p.m. Call 450-2260 for more details.
