MUSIC: Killers set name, release date for new album
“It’s looking at ‘Sam’s Town’ from Mars,” Killers frontman Brandon Flowers told “Rolling Stone” recently of the band’s new disc, which now has a name: “Day & Age.”
Set to hit stores on Nov. 25, the band’s third album was helmed by Stuart Price, who’s worked with the likes of Madonna, Missy Elliott and Gwen Stefani and whom the Killers also hooked up with on “Sawdust,” last year’s collection of B-sides, remixes and rarities.
Like its predecessor, “Day & Age” was informed by the band’s Southwestern surroundings.
“I have a romantic notion of what America, and Nevada and the Wild West— about what it is,” Flowers told “Rolling Stone.” “And, I'm tryin' to hold on.”
