MUSIC: Tool frontman bringing comedy show to the Palms?

Like one of his heroes, late great comedian Bill Hicks, Maynard James Keenan always has wielded a sense of humor sharp as a bayonet and half as friendly.
Now, the Tool frontman is rumored to be bringing his funny side to the stage in Vegas.
According to a report from The Pulse of Radio, Keenan is putting together a cabaret-style show for some gigs at The Pearl at the Palms in mid-February.
As The Pulse tells it, the show will mix music from Keenan’s more dub and dance-y side project Puscifer along with other material and will be performed by friends and fellow musicians.
None of this should be all that new to the artsy rocker: before Tool took off, Keenan put on a comedy variety show in L.A. for a time with actress comedian Laura Milligan, who could later been in HBO series “Mr. Show” and in "Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny.”
