Naming contest for southwest water park wave pool open

Five finalists have been selected to name the wave pool at the new Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas, 7055 S. Fort Apache Road, set to open Memorial Day weekend. 

The Wave Pool Naming Contest finalists are: Cactus Curl from Dean Lamanna, Mojave Monsoon from Scott Berard, Neon Beach from Robyn Young, The Ragin’ Rebel from Jackie Galaza, and Red Rock Bay from Ted Stringer. 

The selected names have been posted in the Wave Pool Name Finalists photo album on the Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas Facebook page here. To vote, click on the picture with your favorite name for the wave pool and “like” it. Voting must be completed by midnight Jan. 19. The name with the most “likes” on Jan. 20 will be declared the winner. 

The winning entrant will receive a Family 4 Pack of Gold Passes and a VIP experience for the entire family during the opening weekend, including a complimentary cabana, all-you-can-drink fountain soda beverages, meals and more. Each of the five finalists will receive a pair of single-day admission tickets to the park.
