The Las Vegas Dogs in Competitive Events is set to host a North American Dog Agility Council Agility Trial Friday through Sunday at Horseman's Park, 5800 E. Flamingo Road. Teen tech week invites budding scientists to Build a robot
As part of Teen Tech Week, teens are invited to LEGO Club to build robots from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave. The completed robots will be displayed in the Teen Zone of the library.
The library is also hosting Reuse, Recycle, Rebook, a crafting session, scheduled from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Participants will repurpose books. For more information, call 507-4010.
Wetlands park to host Guided hike
Wetlands Park Weekend Walk events are scheduled from 9:15 a.m. to noon Saturday and March 24 and April 14 and 28 at the Clark County Wetlands Park, 7050 Wetlands Park Lane. The walks are free, but space is limited and registration is required. For more information and to register, call 455-7522.
Valley gears up for NASCAR
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North will be home to multiple races this week. Events include dirt track races at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The Stratosphere Pole Day Sprint Cup is scheduled at noon Friday , the Sam's Town 300 at 2 p.m. Saturday and the Kobalt Tools 400 at noon Sunday. Tickets for individual races range from $25 to $69. The speedway expects smooth traffic flow during the weekend and has added a number of resources to ensure that. The speedway encourages the use of mass transit. The site also features a video explaining the preferred entrance and exit to the speedway for cars. An application is available for iPhone and Android to assist fans in parking. The speedway also plans to give traffic updates via Twitter. Officials will be cracking down on counterfeit handicapped parking placards, and illegally parked cars on Hollywood Boulevard will be towed.
NASCAR appearances scheduled
Discount Tire's No. 22 driver and past NASCAR Nationwide Series champion Brad Keselowski is scheduled to meet fans and sign autographs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Discount Tire store at 475 W. Centennial Parkway. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 399-1189.

NASCAR Haulers to be on display
and in parade
The Colorful 18-wheelers that haul the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racecars and equipment to the tracks are set to be on display throughout Thursday at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
A NASCAR Hauler Parade is scheduled to begin 6 p.m. Thursday at the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign. Fans will be able to view the expected 50 trucks from both sides of the Strip as they drive to Sahara Avenue.
Slot Tournament to benefit foundation
A slot tournament benefiting the Kyle Busch Foundation is planned at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Riviera, 2901 Las Vegas Blvd. South. In addition to cash prizes, finalists are set to face off against Kyle Bush and the top three point earners will receive an autographed die-cast car, trophy and get their photo taken with Bush and his wife, Samantha. SKATING rink to host glow party

Hunger Games Fans to meet and print

Devil Pups to host information meeting
An information meeting for prospective Devil Pups and their parents is planned at noon April 21 at the Leatherneck Club, 4360 W. Spring Mountain Road. The Devil Pups program prepares teens 14 to 17 for 10 days of leadership and physical fitness training at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., during the summer. A local group meets for several months to train for entrance to the program. Only a handful of the teens nationwide pass the rigorous tests for entrance to the program. Senior center plans St. Patrick's Lunch
