LAMB OF GOD LUTHERAN CHURCH SCHEDULES YARD SALE SATURDAY
A community yard sale is planned for 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd. The annual Lutheran Women's Mission event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 645-4998.
SPACES FOR VENDORS AVAILABLE
AT Oct. 8 RUMMAGE SALE
Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4601 W. Lake Mead Blvd., plans a community craft and yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 8.
A $5 donation will be requested if the vendor provides his or her own table; the donation is $10 if the church provides one. Vendors need not be affiliated with the church and may sell any legal product except food.
To reserve a space or ask questions, call the church office at 648-8437 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
MARK NATIONAL TRAILS DAY SATURDAY
National Trails Day is Saturday, and Centennial Hills has many trails to mark the occasion.
Options include:
n Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road.
n Buckskin Cliff Shadows Trailhead, west of the Las Vegas Beltway and Cliff Shadows Parkway at Cheyenne Avenue.
n Lone Mountain Trailhead, along the Buffalo Drainage Channel between Buffalo Drive and Tenaya Way, from Vegas Drive north to Lake Mead Boulevard.
n Gilmore Cliff Shadows Trailhead, Lone Mountain Road. The trail is on the north side of Alexander Road, to the west of the Las Vegas Beltway and Cliff Shadows Parkway.

COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE PLANNED
IN LEGENDS OF LOG CABIN COMMUNITY
The Legends at Log Cabin residential community is slated to host a community garage sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15 in its neighborhood along Durango Drive, north of Log Cabin Drive. The event is free and open to the public.
CHURCH PLANS BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
A blessing of the animals celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday on the patio of St. George's Anglican Church, 7676 W. Gilmore Ave. For more information, call 395-4576.
JACKASS RUN TO INCLUDE RIDER
SEMINARS, PARADE OF LIGHTS
The Las Vegas chapter of the Honda Goldwing Road Riders Association plans to host its ninth annual Jackass Run Oct. 15 at Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive.
Events will include a poker run up Mount Charleston, rider education seminars, raffles, prizes and a parade of lights to the Fiesta Rancho, 2400 N. Rancho Drive, followed by a dinner buffet at Santa Fe Station.
Registration is set from 7 a.m. to noon. The cost is $25, which includes the dinner buffet, the poker run, seminar attendance and commemorative pins.

SPIRIT THERAPIES PLANS WINE
AND BEER TASTING TO RAISE FUNDS
A night of wine and entertainment is planned in support of Spirit Therapies, a nonprofit therapeutic horseback riding center at 9140 La Madre Way.
The fifth annual Taste of Spirit is planned for 6 p.m. Oct. 7 at the South Point, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
The event is to include a wine and beer tasting, a seated dinner, local musicians, a live auction and raffles. Tickets are $50 before the event and $75 at the door.
