Nevada “wounded warrior” invited to State of Union speech

Spec. Timothy Hall, an Army soldier from Hawthorne who was badly wounded in Afghanistan, was invited to tonight's State of the Union speech in the U.S. Capitol. Hall and his father Russ were guests of Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Hall, 21, lost both legs in a June 10, 2010 mortar attack on his base. He has been receiving treatment at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington.

“His bravery and sacrifice for his country is humbling and should make us all reconfirm our commitment to ensuring Nevada’s veterans have the care they have earned," Reid said after meeting with Hall and his father this afternoon.
