Nevada’s “abundance of feminine riches”

Nevada is featuring an abundance of female Democrats running for office this year, from Rep. Shelley Berkley seeking the U.S. Senate to the two women -- Chris Giunchigliani and Carolyn Goodman -- vying to become mayor of Las Vegas, Roll Call observes in a piece today.

"There are opportunities for women here in politics," former Rep. Dina Titus told the Capitol Hill news outlet. For her part, Titus said she expects to run again in one of the newly drawn congressional seats, but won't announce until after redistricting is complete.

Because of the shuffle that will create a new U.S. House district, the upcoming special House election and the race for U.S. Senate, "Democrats have the potential to fill the congressional ballot with women," according to the piece.
