New releases for July 15
I'm definitely looking forward to the latest installment in the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. “The Time Paradox,” the sixth book in the series, finds the boy genius in need of help from his fairy friends after his mother contracts a deadly disease. Artemis must travel back in time to get the cure and face his younger, not-so-nice self.
Fans of Harry Potter should enjoy this series, and it would be a great one for kids needing something to read over the summer. Artemis is a sometimes criminal, sometimes heroic boy and the books follow his adventures in the fairy realm. The novels include plenty of fun, recurring characters, including a farting dwarf and a smart-mouth centaur. The other books are “Artemis Fowl,” “The Arctic Incident,” “The Eternity Code,” “The Opal Deception” and “The Lost Colony.”
