New releases for June 23

Modern biotechnology and an apocalyptic story come together in best-selling author James Rollins’ “The Doomsday Key,” where three murders on separate continents are all linked by a strange pagan cross burned into the victims’ bodies.
Another big book coming out is “Finger Lickin’ Fifteen” by Janet Evanovich, the 15th in the series featuring bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, which includes explosions, a beheading, a flasher and a love triangle, among other action.
Also hitting shelves this week: “Catastrophe” by Dick Morris; “The Embers” by Hyatt Bass; “Fairy Tale” by Cyn Balog; “The Fixer Upper” by Mary Kay Andrews; “Glenn Beck’s Common Sense: The Evolution of Thomas Paine’s Revolution” by Glenn Beck; “Just Another Hero” by Sharon Draper; “Let the Great World Spin” by Colum McCann; “Magnificent Desolation: The Long Road Home from the Moon” by Buzz Aldrin; “Magykal Papers (Septimus Heap Series)” by Angie Sage; “Making an Elephant” by Graham Swift; “A Monster’s Notes” by Laurie Sheck; “Obsession: An Erotic Tale” by Gloria Vanderbilt; “Prism” by Faye Kellerman; “Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Omen” by Christie Golden; “Sworn to Silence” by Linda Castillo; “Take Two” by Karen Kingsbury; and “White Is for Witching” by Helen Oyeyemi.
