New Sandoval ad accuses Reid of ‘poor leadership’

Republican Brian Sandoval has launched a new ad in the campaign for governor that accuses his Democratic opponent Rory Reid of "poor leadership".

The ad comes shortly after a major media buy from Reid to run an ad that accuses Sandoval of being too cozy with lobbyists.

The Sandoval ad contrasts criticism of Reid, chairman of the Clark County Commission, with praise for Sandoval, a former attorney general and federal judge.

"In the race for governor the candidates' records give us a good idea of how they will lead," a narrator says as pictures of Reid and Sandoval flash on screen.

The ad then shifts the focus to Reid alone.

"Rory Reid's record, liberal spending, poor leadership and a campaign of lies. Nevada deserves better," the narrator says.

The ad then describes Sandoval thusly: "Brian Sandoval, trusted attorney general and federal judge. He created Nevada's first public integrity unit to prosecute officials who violate the public trust."

It continues: "Integrity and fiscal responsibility when Nevada needs it most."
