NEWTON RETURNS TO STAGE AFTER HEART SCARE

Wayne Newton, healthy again after a heart scare, is headlining in Las Vegas for the first time in more than a year.

Newton has signed a deal with the MGM Grand to perform three one-week engagements in the Hollywood Theatre, starting July 31 to Aug. 6.

He'll return Oct. 16-22 and November 13-19.

It's the first time he's performed that lengthy of an engagement since a heart issue flared up in November during his "Dancing With the Stars" appearance.

He was to do a holiday show at Harrah's in December but cancelled to take part in the "Dancing With the Stars" live arena tour. He appeared at Harrah's from May to July last year.

Tickets are available by calling MGM Grand reservations: 1-800-929-1111. Tickets: $65, show only; $100, includes a Meet & Greet and a photo with Newton.
