No More Homeless Pets Conference planned at Rio

Utah-based Best Friends Animal Shelter is scheduled to host the 2012 No More Homeless Pets Conference at the Rio, 3700 W. Flamingo Road, Oct. 25 through Oct. 28.

The conference is set to discuss six topics:

  • Marketing Matters: Tools and Tips for Saving More Lives
  • Empty Cages: Keeping Pets out of Shelters
  • Adoption and Fostering: Finding Good Homes for Pets
  • Making Money: Funding Your Animal Rescue Work
  • Animal Care and Behavior: Understanding and Caring for Homeless Pets
  • Innovation: New Solutions to Old Problems

Online registration for the event has closed; however, those interested in attending can register at the Rio at 9 a.m. on Oct. 25 and at 7 a.m. on Oct. 26.
