No rest for Joe Heck

There will be no relaxing for incoming Rep. Joe Heck when he gets sworn into the House of Representatives next week. The Democratic party already is strategizing to win back the seat the Nevada Republican captured in November.
"Democrats are weeding through November’s election returns to decipher which members are the most vulnerable Republicans, beginning with those who won marginal districts," Roll Call reports today.
"Among others, the (Democratic Congressional Campaign) committee will target Republicans who won districts President Barack Obama carried in 2008 and those who won with 55 percent or less — the mark used as a ceiling for competitive races," it said.
Heck, who unseated Democrat Dina Titus in the 3rd Congressional District, qualifies on both counts. Here is the list of 32 targeted Republicans compiled by Roll Call.
Through Nov. 22, Heck reported his campaign had $80,169 in the bank to prepare for 2012. He also reported $200,358 in outstanding debts to a half dozen consultants.
