Now this is change — Obama’s a military hawk

That's what President Obama did tonight in his address to the American people to explain why he's waging war in Libya.

The old Obama in 2007 said: “The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”

Tonight he said he as president he will act "swiftly, decisively and unilaterally" to protect our "common humanity" and "prevent genocide" around the world. Forget about American interests being at stake.

It was a stunning and weird explanation, which I am sure will be scrutinized thoroughly for years to come.

Obama the dove became Obama the hawk tonight.

So, I must ask Obamanation -- Is this the change you believed in?
