NVAR unveils refurbished identity

RENO -- To more clearly define and communicate the role The Nevada Realtors Association (NVAR) plays in the mind of its members and consumers, the association has unveiled a new, modernized brand identity to reenergize their presence throughout the state.

The change comes at a critical time, as the real estate market in Nevada returns to normal conditions after a significant four-year boom, according to the association.

"NVAR is the only member association that informs members, legislators and home buyers about the intricacies of real estate transactions so they can rest assured Nevada's private property rights are in good hands," said Myrna Kingham, president of NVAR. "It's very important that the association continue to be viewed as providing the benefit of knowledge and expertise."

The brand change includes a new logo and tagline - "Invested in You," plus a redesign of the association's Web site - nvar.org.

The new elements are designed to be more user-friendly for NVAR's members and the public.

According to Kingham, it is crucial that the association provide their 21,000 statewide members a sense of unity and advocacy, along with resources to help them succeed in their chosen profession.

Likewise, the association feels this same benefit of protection should be extended to the home-buying public, given the feature of Realtors as private property experts and hard-working advocates for their clients.

"With our brand change comes the opportunity to reposition ourselves as a valuable resource," Kingham said. "Whether it's acting as a persuasive voice in protecting private property rights or communicating with consumers about the value of using a Realtor, we want to emphasize that we are the conduit of information for the real estate market in Nevada."

The Nevada Association of Realtors is a professional trade association with more than 20,000 members.
