Obama’s kabuki town hall meeting

Blogger Michelle Malkin uses one of my favorite words to describe the highly scripted nature of President Obama's latest town hall meeting: "kabuki".

Kabuki, indeed. By now you've probably heard about the little girl who asked Obama a question. It was at the town hall meeting in which he pleaded with the audience to ask him a tough question on health care "reform".

Well, we now can surmise, thanks to a little reporting by the Boston Globe, that the reason the president didn't get a tough question is because the hall was stacked with adoring fans.

Give Malkin's blog a look for the details.

Is this arrogant, or what?

Some of my friends were surprised in a previous post when I suggested that the leaders of the Democratic Party, by denigrating citizens attending health care "reform" meetings, were engaging in elitist behavior. I don't think any of my friends will say that now after viewing this ugly video of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee answering a cell phone call while a citizen was asking a question. Pretty telling behavior.

Is this 'fishy misinformation'

The president either misspoke or he outright lied when he told his town hall meeting that the AARP endorsed his health care "reform" plan. Here's the AARP's denial of that statement. The AARP is supporting of "reform" in general, but has not endorsed any specific plan.

Talk about 'Astro Turf'

Democrats (chief among them is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi) have tried to portray the backlash against their health care "reform" efforts as "Astro Turf" instead of grass roots.

But, if you want a real, proven example of "Astro Turf" in Pelosi's backyard, get a load of this California story in which the Democratic Party used interns to write fake sob-sister letters to Republicans on health care.
