ODDSMAKER LIKES ‘AVATAR,’ BRIDGES, STREEP
"Avatar," Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Christoph Waltz, Mo'Nique and director James Cameron are oddsmaker Johnny Avello's choices to win Oscars, it was announced Wednesday.
Avello, the sportsbook director at Wynn Las Vegas, establishes the Oscar odds for entertainment purposes only, not wagering.
He likes "Avatar" to win best picture; Bridges, best actor, "Crazy Heart;" Streep, best actress, "Julie and Julia"; Waltz, best supporting actor, "Inglourious Bastards;" Mo'Nique, best supporting actress, "Precious" and Cameron, best director, "Avatar."

NEVADA BALLET KICKS OFF CAMPAIGN
Nevada Ballet Theatre’s new fundraising and awareness campaign, “Spread the Dance,” will be unveiled at an 11 a.m. press conference Thursday at Fashion Show Mall’s Great Hall.
The campaign features videos of a number of local headliners, celebrities and others demonstrating their best dance moves.
