Pahrump Republicans convene for red-meat dinner

The Pahrump Valley Times reports this week on the Nye County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner over the weekend.

Keynoted by state Sen. Mark Amodei, R-Carson City, the dinner featured the usual railing against taxes and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Joe Heck, Republican candidate for governor, continued his rural tour with a speech at the dinner in which he paraphrased Ronald Reagan. Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki voiced optimism, but made no allusion to the status of his potential challenge to Reid. Krolicki is under felony indictment on charges of misappropriation of state funds.
