Paradiso opens at Mountain Falls

The opening of Paradiso by Classic Homes gives buyers a new choice at the Mountain Falls master-planned community in Pahrump.

Paradiso offers a mix of single- and two-story homes, a first for the golf-course community developed by William Lyon Homes. Anchored by the 18-hole Mountain Falls Golf Club, the master plan is located 45 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip.

Classic Homes joins William Lyon Homes, Celebrate Homes and Desert Wind Homes in offering residences at Mountain Falls. A total of eight neighborhoods are selling.

Home buyers can tour Paradiso's three model homes and choose among five floor plans ranging from 2,850 to 4,300 square feet. Two designs are single-story layouts with second-floor options; three floor plans are two-story homes. Every home design includes an interior courtyard. Volume ceilings, granite countertops, upgraded cabinetry, patio covers and oil-rubbed bronze doorknobs are among the included features.

Golf-course lots and pool-size backyards are available. Prices start in the upper $400,000s.

Paradiso offers numerous structural variations -- from dens to casitas -- so buyers can "add and subtract options to make the plans their own," said Jeff Meads, president of Classic Homes. "By the time we're done, no two homes will be the same. We spent a great deal of time and money planning Paradiso. There's no question there will be a huge draw for the community."

Meads said Paradiso's unique architectural features are already making a big impact on buyers.

"Think open floor plan meets traditional floor plan, all wrapped in luxury. That's what awaits buyers at Paradiso," said Meads, who described the layouts as having defined rooms linked by open passageways. "Rooms flow together effortlessly so the plans feel open, but still with that distinct definition buyers want."

A Southern Nevada home builder, Classic Homes has been building in Pahrump for more than a decade. Meads said Mountain Falls presented the perfect opportunity to introduce a luxury product.

"Mountain Falls is a wonderful alternative for buyers who want high-end golf-course living and amenities without the Las Vegas prices. We're thrilled to be involved," Meads said. "William Lyon Homes conducts a first-class organization. Seeing the caliber of their resident facilities and the community itself, we weren't shy at all about going into Mountain Falls with a really high-end product."

When complete, Paradiso will include 99 home sites.

In addition to Paradiso, models are open at seven other neighborhoods.

William Lyon Homes offers 14 single-story floor plans among Entrata, Cascata Ancora, Tramonto and Bella Sera. Residences measure 1,157 to 2,897 square feet with up to five bedrooms and four baths. Prices start in the upper $100,000s.

Buyers can select among six single-story layouts measuring 1,609 to 2,513 square feet between Villa Serena and Villagio by Celebrate Homes. Floor plans have up to four bedrooms and three baths. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Tivoli by Desert Wind Homes offers three single-story home designs ranging from 1,938 to 2,097 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and 31/2 baths. Prices start in the $200,000s.

Homeowners have exclusive access to Mountain Falls' community resident facility. Situated in a Mediterranean-style clubhouse overlooking Mountain Falls Golf Club, the facility includes a fitness center, locker rooms, lounge with a pool table and multi-purpose room where fitness and recreational classes are offered for a nominal fee.

An outdoor aquatic center features a 25-yard lap pool and Jacuzzi for adults, family pool and splash pad with interactive water play stations.

Homeowner association fees are set at less than $45 monthly. Dozens of mini-parks and miles of walking trails can be found on the landscaped grounds.

To visit from Las Vegas, travel about 45 miles west on State Route 160, Blue Diamond Road, from Interstate 15. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road. Proceed to Hafen Ranch and turn right.
