Pardee unveils homes at Nevada Trails

Pardee Homes will celebrate the grand opening of its Ashwood neighborhood today and Sunday within its Nevada Trails community in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.

Grand opening activities include gourmet cooking demonstrations, family entertainment and free refreshments.

"As the last neighborhood in the Nevada Trails master-planned community, Ashwood completes the vision of Pardee to build a community with a focus on exceptional lifestyle in an exceptional location," regional sales director Rob Tuvell said. "With 23 acres of parks and trails, Nevada Trails has become a great place to live in the southwest."

A 2006 survey of home buyers conducted by MarketScape Research and Consulting indicated community amenities and floor plans were among the top reasons buyers chose Nevada Trails, located off Rainbow Boulevard and Robindale Road.

The surrounding area now includes a new elementary school, hospital, shopping centers and restaurants.

"One mark of an exceptional community is the number of families who move up to larger homes within the community as their families grow," Tuvell said. "That is the case at Nevada Trails where neighbors have built a real sense of community."

Priced from the $400,000s, homes at Ashwood will include the Plan One, a single-story design with three or two bedrooms with optional retreat, a den, 2 1/2 baths and three-car garage. The home measures 2,307 square feet.

Plan Two measures 3,200 square feet in a two-story design with as many as five bedrooms, three baths, great room, loft and two-car expanded garage.

The Ashwood two-story Plan Three features a walk-through pantry, and includes up to five bedrooms and three baths, great room, bonus room, laundry/hobby room and three-car garage, measuring 3,515 square feet.

Ashwood's Plan Four features a rotunda entry and measures 3,314 square feet in a two-story design with up to six bedrooms, four baths, library, loft and three-car garage.

Ashwood is within walking distance of Nevada Trails Park, a 10-acre park developed by Pardee in cooperation with the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department. Nevada Trails Park includes basketball and tennis courts, tot lot, playing fields, exercise track and picnic pavilion.

To visit Nevada Trails, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Boulevard, to Rainbow, drive one mile south to Robindale and turn right into the model park.

Ashwood's sales center is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, except Monday when it opens 11 a.m.
