Paxton Walk savors ‘Great Taste’
"Great Taste," a television series by Platinum Television Group, came to the Paxton Walk sales pavilion recently and spotlighted various aspects of the mixed-use development.
Platinum will feature the 31-acre project of planned 782 townhomes, condominiums, storefronts and offices on the half-hour TV show, which will be aired throughout the month of August on both the Travel Channel and the Discovery Channel.
"Our 'Great Taste' program showcases the best in luxury resorts, exotic locations, fabulous fashion and jewels, and spectacular homes," said Dawn Dubriel, production executive of Platinum Productions. "We chose Paxton Walk because of its upscale, resort-style amenities, gorgeous architecture and the luxurious grounds -- it's a stunning project."
"Great Taste" has filmed segments at five-star resorts, fine-art museums, unique vacation spots and top restaurants worldwide. Paxton Walk is the only Las Vegas condominium project that has been chosen for the show so far.
During an all-day shoot, the camera crew of the show captured the charm of the furnished condo sales model as well as the expanse of the 14-foot-long scale model showing all 31 acres in miniature detail.
The segment also includes interviews of several home buyers conducted by Laurie Stevens, vice president of Blue Marble, the developer of Paxton Walk.
Jared and Samantha Sweet explained that they chose a townhome at Paxton Walk because the lifestyle fits so well with their healthy, outdoor interests in biking and hiking.
Samantha Sweet, a personal trainer, is looking forward to utilizing the exercise equipment at the clubhouse.
"Not only will the fitness center offer the latest and greatest equipment, the clubhouse itself will be a place where we can visit with neighbors, enjoy a movie in the theater and take a dip in the Olympic-size swimming pool," she said.
Adam Arrington, another homeowner, said his experience as a commercial real estate broker convinced him that becoming a buyer at Paxton Walk would be a smart investment for both his personal and financial future.
"The Centennial Hills area is such an attractive, growing part of Las Vegas. And Paxton Walk offers restaurants, shops, and everyday conveniences in our own town center within walking distance of my home," Arrington said.
Paxton Walk, in the northwestern Las Vegas Valley, is a grouping of townhomes, condominiums, shops, boutiques, offices and residential entertainment areas.
Townhomes at Paxton Walk is a series of 65 townhomes along Slade Avenue, the project's main street. The townhomes are 1,678 and 1,698 square feet.
One floor plan has three bedrooms; the other has two bedrooms and a loft. Both have private courtyards and two-car garages.
Courtyards at Paxton Walk (West) offers 175 flats or two-level condominiums in four-story buildings surrounding a secure garage that offers at-level parking and direct entry to each home.
Nine floor plans range from 726 to 1,532 square feet.
Paxton Square Town Center is the heart of the mixed-use development. The first story includes 46,000 square feet for retail space, including two 7,000-square-foot spaces designed for restaurants. The second story has 50,000 square feet of office space.
There are 72 one-level and loft homes on the third and fourth floors, which overlook a 27,000-square-foot courtyard of lush landscaping, pathways and outdoor dining. Paxton Square is located in the center of the 31-acre development so it is easily accessible to all residents.
Paxton Square Clubhouse is a 9,000-square-foot facility including swimming pools and spas, indoor and outdoor cabana room, game room, catering kitchen, cinema, workshop, business center and rooftop garden. The 3000-square-foot fitness center will offer state-of-the-art exercise equipment as well as classes for Pilates, cardio and yoga training.
At project's end there will be a total of 717 condominiums located around courtyards or overlooking Slade Avenue. The peninsular design maximizes views of mountains or the Strip and keeps all residents close to the common areas.
Amenities include multiple swimming pools, spas, fitness centers and recreation areas. The 9,000-square-foot main clubhouse includes a two-story great room, movie theater, billiards room, party rooms, library and business center.
Prices range from the $200,000s to the $500,000s.
