PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Victoria Arthur of Henderson shared this photo of Bogart, a wheaten terrier, in his 51MG TD. “I can’t keep him out of the driver’s seat with all this great weather in Henderson,” she wrote.

“Houdini was rescued from a vacant house,” wrote Janice Devine of Las Vegas. “He loves to hide and pretend he is a statue behind Mr. Frog. He now has a younger sister to torment and keep him young.”

“Merlin, lovingly known as Merlycat, is an 11-year-old domestic shorthair cat,” wrote Mike and Laure Kolody of North Las Vegas. “He came to live with us on Sept. 11, 2001. He follows us everywhere and loves to sit in our laps.”

Rick Lane of Las Vegas shared this photo of his dog Pelagia, a golden lab, and Dunkin, a pit bull mix owned by his son’s friends. “This was taken ... in Red Rock. It was Dunkin’s first time swimming (Pelagia will swim any time she can), and he loved it. My son would throw the stick, and they would go out and bring it in together.”
