PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View's pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

"Our eldest grandson came over Dec. 14, 2008, with a rescued puppy as an early Christmas present. Said if it didn't work out he'd be back in a couple of days for him. We thought about naming him Cowboy, but didn't think he'd get big enough to grow into that name. So he is Dallas, and he is a keeper - all four pounds of him!" said Karyn L. Clark of Henderson.

"I've sent pictures of Fox-E, a gift from my grandchildren. He was a companion and a source of contentment for 18 years. Fox-E will never be forgotten!" said Edith Heiskell of Anthem.

"This is Maya. She is 2 years old and loves to jump fences. She can jump an 8-foot brick wall! She is a German Shepherd mix. She is very playful and active," said Valerie Hernandez of Henderson.

"This is Buddy (blue hat) and Molley (pink hat) on Buddy's second birthday," said George and Brenda Howe of Las Vegas.

"Our pug, Yoda, loves to lay on her heart-shaped pillow, and under it," said George and Donna Hobbs of North Las Vegas.
