PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View's pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

"Diamond is a tri-colored miniature Australian shepherd whose parents are from Northern Spain. He needed a home, and I needed to share my life. Diamond is smart, loyal, protective and very sociable with other people and other dogs. I have seen Diamond play with as many as 20 dogs at the same time from a variety of miniatures to German shepherds. He's the fastest dog in the doggie park. In February, we began training dog therapy school so that he can be shared with others in hospices, hospitals and other facilities. Diamond will bring his loving ways to all," said Anna Wood of Las Vegas.

"See Gabriella, the Eighth Wonder of the World! Witness the Labrador perform her stupefying ... perilous spectacle of a feat that no other hyperactive canine of her kind would ever dare in attempting - The Sound Sleeper Act. The yellow mellow is notoriously known by her trainers to accomplish her exercises without getting a single sore or blister on her supple paws," said Donald, Vickie and Sean Hartlieb of Henderson.

"Gucci is a 4-year-old long-haired domestic kitty, and her best friend, Pinto, is a 13-year-old Dalmatian from Costa Rica. They love to cuddle together and keep each other company," said Tiffany Kelchlin of Las Vegas.

"Hi, my name is Rascal. I am a 2-year-old Russian blue. I run the house here and love my gold medals," said Tom Winter of Las Vegas.

"This is Thumper celebrating his 14th birthday. ... Thumper has had cancer twice but is doing well and loves to eat and take walks," said
Mike and Pattie Gray of Summerlin.
