PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

“I’m not sure which is which, Republicans or Democrats — but if a dog and a cat can get along like this ... ,” wrote Brian Kari of Henderson. “Jennifer is a poodle mix, and Chuck is a Russian Blue. From the looks of them, you would think we would all could get along. They love each other. I would say they sleep together, but that would be gossip. Jeannie Ciernick of Summerlin shared this photo of her rescue cat, Lucy. “She loves talking and bossing around my other cats and dogs despite her small size. One day I came home and I found her walking around the house with a price tag on her chest.”

Robin and Peter Rhodeos of North Las Vegas shared this photo of Sassie, a 10-month-old rescue cat who was helping Robin shop online. “She loves the cursor. She sits right in front of the monitor so I can’t see. Guess she’s trying to save me some money in a way.”

Darla and Mark Dickson of Las Vegas shared this photo of Trixie, their 2-year-old mutt. “We adopted her from the Henderson animal shelter. We’ve had her about a year and a half, and life hasn’t been dull since.”
