PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Ron and Shirley Morelock of North Las Vegas shared this photo of Daisy, a 5-year-old Shih Tzu-Pomeranian mix who is “the smartest dog we have had in the 53 years we have been married. Of all the stuffed toys she has, we can pick out any one that we ask her to get from a pile of about 10. We also have to spell around her to keep her from knowing what we are talking about when she is the subject of conversation.”

“This is a photo of my daughter’s puppy, Diggy,” wrote Minnie Beley. “He loves to dig — that’s why the name applies! He is now 10 months old, a Shih Tzu-Yorkie mix. He’s just so adorable, very social and very friendly, constantly wagging his curly tail every time he sees somebody. He loves to ride in the golf cart and feel the warm or cool breeze on his face.”

“This is Jake,” wrote Leon and Rogene Kubala of Las Vegas. “We adopted him a few months ago from Lied shelter. He loves to play fetch. He has filled a big void in our lives and we love him a lot.”

“This is our mini beagle, Katie,” wrote Pattie Gray of Las Vegas. “We recently rescued her and think she is about 2 years old. She loves to sleep in unnatural ways.”
