PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Tammy Hollis shared this photo of her dog, Bugsy, an Akbash. “Bugsy was 30 pounds when he came to live with us. He is now 3 feet tall and 150 pounds. We walk every day in our neighborhood, and everyone knows Bugsy. He has to stop to socialize with everyone or he is not happy. People we don’t even know stop and talk with us to find about him. He loves all people and animals, including horses and peacocks.”

Angela Rodriguez of Henderson shared this photo of her dog, Chucky, celebrating his fifth birthday in August. “He was given to me as a puppy after I had to put my girl dog of 17 years down. It’s been five years of big kisses and laughter.”

“This is Lafeet,” wrote Susan Katz of Henderson. “She has six toes on each paw and loves to nest in my pocketbook. She is now 20 years old. She was rescued from a snowbank in New York and came with us when we moved to Las Vegas.”

“This is how Tanner and Zina keep cool in Las Vegas,” wrote Jon and Carol Athey of Las Vegas.
