PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

“Jinks just turned 1 year old and is wearing his birthday party hat with Pepper, his brother, just watching to see if ice cream and cake are on the menu,” wrote Wanda Hardy of Las Vegas.

Tony and Judy Mohorek of North Las Vegas adopted Mandy three years ago. “She has brightened our lives beyond words,” they wrote. “She is just so loving and gentle. Mandy just loves spending time with us in our backyard and going for long walks. She is the diva of our house.”

Connie Russo of Las Vegas shared this photo of Mya, a 2-year-old Siberian husky. “She is a rescue dog. She was found on a very rainy day looking for somewhere to take shelter,” she wrote. “She is 5 years old. I got her when she was 4 months old. We have brought so much joy to each other’s life. She truly is a diva dog and loves to pose for the camera.”

Natalia Oliveros of Las Vegas shared this photo of Oso, which means “bear” in English. “He is 4 years old and likes to go for walks. ... He is my companion and true friend. Love you, my baby boy!”

Melanie Andress-Tobiasson of Las Vegas shared this photo of her dogs, from left, Truffle, Cookie and Tyson.
