PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Martha Navarro shared this photo of her newest family member, Cocopuff. “She is 8 weeks old. My sister-in-law gave her to us. She isn’t too keen on bath time, but she does love to wear her little outfits.”

Jean and Bill Buffalo shared this photo of Max, one of their border collies. “We had been teaching him to climb steps earlier in the day, and when we couldn’t find him, we finally found him asleep with his bottom on the bookshelf and his head on the steps.”

“Pepper is the best doggy in the whole world, but I am a bit biased,” wrote Robert Bray of Henderson. “Four years ago, she was rescued from the Lied Animal Shelter. She instantly became a loyal best friend, a protective security officer, and a compassionate family member. Everybody loves her. Her breed is a mystery (even the vet wasn’t sure), but our family couldn’t care less. We say Pepper is purebred love. I have heard so many people say pound dogs make the best pets. It’s true!”

“These two love bugs were adopted at the shelter,” wrote Marion Heckman from Henderson. “Venus is named after my daughter, Vanessa, and Neptune after my son, Nathan. They love and play together every day."
