PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

Tara and Rhett Noseck of Las Vegas shared this photo of their English bulldog, Mia, and their Chihuahua, Zoe, catching some Zs together. “They are the best of pals.”

“To escape the heat of our valley, I love to take trips with my dog Barley to the Utah mountains,” wrote Loretta Brodeur, a valley resident since 1975. “Barley is a 10-year-old yellow Lab that I have been blessed with since he was just 5 weeks old. Barley loves to take walks in the woods and play down by the creek in the hot summer to cool off. Here he is just hanging out at Strawberry Creek, Utah, over Memorial Day weekend 2010.”

“Tillie came to our home two years ago,” wrote Bart and Elaine Corradino of Las Vegas. “A rescue dog, she had weighed only 35 pounds. Today, she is a healthy 80 pounds. She is sweet, strong and loving. We don’t know how smart she is because she teaches us something new every day.”
