PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View’s pets section. And, because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

“I’m a rat terrier named Tara,” wrote Dora Knupp of Las Vegas. “I love to watch TV and look out the window. My favorite thing is to sleep on the bed at night. When it’s cold, I get under the covers and leave my head out. Also, I’m chicken when someone comes over who I don’t know. I run under the bed as fast as I can. I’m loved very much, and that’s why I’m a happy dog.”

“My dog G.G. loves to sit in the laundry basket. Maybe she wants a bath?” wrote Anita Wohl of Las Vegas. “We got her from the NSPCA. Her name G.G. stands for ‘Good Girl.’ ”

Jean and Don Gibbons shared this photo of their Papillion, Tammy-Two. “Tammy is a dream pet,” they wrote. “She is happy-go-lucky and loves everyone she sees. Her tail wags so much, it creates a cool breeze. ... This pet has been a blessing to us, and we are grateful for that.”

Marian Shipp of Henderson shared this photo of her dog, Pommy. “My sweetheart is dressed to the nines in the sand, ready to play,” she wrote.

Barbara Lempenau of Las Vegas Shared this photo of her cat, Sophie. “I adopted her from Homeward Bound when she was 3 months old,” she wrote. “We bonded immediately.”
