Photographer Susie Hadland dies

Photographer Susie Hadland, who died recently after a long fight against cancer, was simply one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. She also had a remarkable talent when it came to nature photography. Her photos of wild horses were published last year in this blog.

Susie captured mustangs, wolves, bear, and mountain lions on her photo trips. For a time she operated a photo gallery inside the Stratosphere Tower.

Her funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church at 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr.
