PIX: Criss Angel’s Red Carpet — Where Angel Wouldn’t Give Me An Interview

Big news if you're me: Criss Angel gave interviews to pretty much every journalist who asked, when he walked the red carpet before Friday's official grand-opening of his Cirque du Soleil show, "Believe." But he wouldn't give me one. His publicist told me Angel would "bounce" over me (skip me on the line).

Angel, I imagine, must have got his feelings hurt by this piece I wrote (and the comments it generated) when "Believe" soft-opened in September. To be honest, my feelings weren't hurt by his skipping me. In fact, I laughed when I was told, because, come on, it's funny.

Obviously, I don't have anything against Angel or Cirque. I ddn't before. I don't now. That column in September was just a straight-up man-on-the-street poll. Who knew tourists and locals would hate the show so much? I didn't. And I didn't put my opinion of his show in that column. I didn't even see "Believe" till Friday night. I'm scheduled to write about it for Monday's paper.
