You might say that Planet Hyundai sales agent Christy Cloutier has become an unofficial part of Loren Minnick’s family, considering that she sold the Minnick family six Hyundais in three years.

Son Loren III started the rush in 2012 when he purchased a 2011 Hyundai Accent. A year later, he traded for a 2012 Elantra. Both cars were preowned and came with a warranty.

“We were impressed with the warranties that came with two used vehicles along with the fact that Christy was fabulous to work with,” said his father, Loren Minnick Jr.

Anita Minnick was driving a truck when husband Loren Jr. called his favorite sales agent for another Hyundai in 2013, this time ending up with 2013 Hyundai Sonata.

The fourth purchase came about two weeks later when the Minnick family bought a 2013 Hyundai Accent for daughter Laryssa, who was in her first semester at the College of Southern Nevada.

The fifth Hyundai came last April when Anita Minnick bought a 2014 Hyundai Tucson sport utility vehicle.

Loren Minnick III then rounded out the family’s most recent purchase in August when he bought a 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT.

“We always feel as though we’re in good hands with Christy,” said Minnick Jr., 44, who has been the worship pastor at Foothills Baptist Church at the corner of Cheyenne Avenue and Torrey Pines Drive for the past three years. “We really trust her, and that’s a huge thing for us. We communicate through Facebook or email.”

Each new Hyundai comes with a warranty that includes a 10-year, 100,000-mile power-train coverage along with a five-year, 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

“Aside from the fuel efficiency and the included accessories that come with a Hyundai, the warranty is among the top reasons why we keep buying them,” said Minnick Jr., a native of Tucson, Ariz., who has lived in Las Vegas for three years.
