President Obama’s “Lohan” defense for the bad economy
July 9, 2010 - 10:54 am
The POTUS left Las Vegas today and after all the political speeches and fundraising we were left, once again, with the sinking feeling that this president, enabled by Sen. Harry Reid, simply doesn't have a clue how to pull this country through its current economic dire straights.
For them the plan is to spend ever more federal dollars we don't have into the recession. If any jobs are created, let them be government jobs. And to pay for that, we'll tax mightily the people who create real, private jobs -- small and big business alike.
It's a concoction that history proves only prolongs the economic misery while at the same time hocks the financial future of our children and grand children.
But what's particularly scary is how much President Obama sounds like Lindsay Lohan when he tries to explain the current economic mess.
"It's Bush", he says, "not me." "I'm trying as hard as I can. I deserve a break."
Waaaa! Waaaa! Waaaa!. Paint your feelings on your fingernails, Mr. President. You ran for president saying that you could do better. You said it would be hard but you could lift us out.
Well, what happened? Don't tell us now that it was worse than you thought and that President Bush is still the real problem. We're suffering through the worst unemployment rate in the country and you are our president.
Stop blaming others of for the failures on your watch. A little personal accountability, President Lohan, seems in order.
