Yarnstormers plan bridge project
Members of the Yarnstormers, based at the West Flamingo Senior Center, 6255 W. Flamingo Road, plan to adorn a pedestrian bridge leading to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, 3186 S. Maryland Parkway, with crocheted and knitted artwork. The project is set to be installed June 10 with a public unveiling at 10 a.m. June 11. For more information, call Diane Bush at 455-7742.
VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT FOR FISHING DERBY

ADULT CENTER to HOST THEATER CLASS
The West Flamingo Active Adult Center, 6255 W. Flamingo Road, plans to host a theater class for actors 55 or older from 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays through June 25. The class will offer instruction on the development of plays and musicals, as well as performing dialogue. The class is free, but registration is required.Call 455-7743 for more information.
Plant expert set to speak

YOGA WITH ROVER EVENT SET FOR JUNE 16
The seventh annual Yoga with Rover event is planned for 1:30 p.m. June 16 at the Yoga Sanctuary, 7915 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 101. Bring your dog to stretch with Amy Herzlich, a yoga lover and owner of Innovative Pet Therapy, at this special class designed for participants and their dogs. Learn yoga poses and massage techniques modified for canines that will enhance your dog's well-being.

The Program of Academic Exchange, or PAX, is accepting applications for host families for the 2012-13 school year for its foreign exchange student program.

Brothel Lecture Series to continue
A series of lectures on the history of brothels in the Las Vegas Valley is scheduled at 11 p.m. today and July 11 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.
