Promontory to host grand opening festivities in southwest today

Promontory within American West Homes' Coronado Ranch, a master-planned community in the southwestern valley, will host grand opening festivities today from noon to 4 p.m.

"When I began building in the valley over 20 years ago," said American West President Larry Canarelli, "my goal was to offer homeowners more than the experience of owning a home, but of experiencing the American dream. Promontory at Coronado Ranch is the product of that dream, and at a great value."

The neighborhood features five distinct designs ranging from 1,800 to 3,276 square feet with up to six bedrooms.

"With formal living and dining rooms, in addition to family rooms in every floor plan," said director of marketing Bonnie Hernandez, "owners know they'll have plenty of living space, with room to grow."

Granite countertops, custom paving stones on the driveways, front walks and front porches, three-car garages and front-yard landscaping are all included custom features.

Promontory is one of four neighborhoods within the Coronado Ranch master plan. Homes are set among the community's walking trails, greenbelts and desert landscaping. Pricing begins from the mid-$300,000s.

In celebration of the grand opening, buyers can now save up to $90,000 on the base price, according to Canarelli.

"We have decided to release our prime home sites for this celebration," he said. "Part of every family's dream of owning a new home includes a yard big enough for any family gathering. American West believes in keeping this part of the dream alive, which is why our homes always include large, pool-sized backyards."

Nearby stores and restaurants include Best Buy, Home Depot, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart, Mimi's Café, Black Angus, Jason's Deli and Chili's. Neighborhood schools include Canarelli Middle School, named after the president of American West.
