Pulte moves couple to home on Stallion Mountain golf course

Their current home is the second Pulte Homes residence Chuck and Debbie Comstock have owned.

As homeowners at Stallion Mountain Country Club, which is located in the southeastern Las Vegas Valley, the Comstocks were quite satisfied with the home that they had purchased from the builder.

Nevertheless, they couldn't help but notice the new neighborhood Pulte was building along a section of the community's golf course.

"We were watching a particular area and told the sales consultants for The Gallery Collection at Stallion Mountain that if we could purchase in a particular new phase of homes, we'd be ready like to buy," Chuck Comstock said.

Three floor plan designs are offered in The Gallery Collection at Stallion Mountain collection, ranging from 1,671 to 1,900 square feet.

Priced from the low $300,000s, each of the homes features three bedrooms and two baths.

Making the prospect of moving even more attractive to the Comstocks was a program Pulte Homes offers to move buyers from one of its homes to another.

The company provides all the necessary services, including a realty company, moving van, cleaning and financing.

The Comstocks visited the offices of The Gallery Collection frequently, viewing the model of the 1,729-square-foot Calder floor plan, which is designed with an open layout.

"That program that they have for moving from one Pulte home to another was excellent," Chuck Comstock said.

Comstock said he is familiar with many of the local builders because he deals with them through his work with a local municipality. Among companies operating locally, Pulte has always impressed him greatly.

"It starts with the sales force," he said.

"The people involved in every aspect of the business at Pulte are very courteous and professional and have great customer service skills, which made me want to deal with them. I measure the quality of the home by starting with the quality of people involved."

Each home at Stallion Mountain is constructed with Environments for Living building technology, making them 30 percent more energy efficient than Energy Star-certified homes, providing an even better value for homeowners.

With blown-in cellulose insulation, conditioned attic spaces, 15 SEER air conditioning units, and dual-paned, vinyl-framed low-e windows, homeowners benefit from decreased internal and external contaminants; increased indoor air quality; decreased heating and cooling usage; and increased comfort, durability and tightness.

"We found that to be very advantageous, not just the energy savings but the quietness. There is very little noise at all from outside. It works very well," he said.

To visit the community, take U.S. Highway 95 to Flamingo Road, go east, past Nellis Boulevard, to the entrance of Stallion Mountain Country Club. The security officer at the gate will point visitors toward the model homes.

Office hours at the sales pavilion are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, except Wednesday, when they open at noon.
