Rachel’s Kitchen holds its St. Baldrick’s event

Give Stacy and Chris Connors credit. Rather than be satisfied to watch other restaurants and pubs participate in the annual St. Baldrick’s shaving fund-raisers, the owners of Rachel’s Kitchen at The District in Green Valley decided to hold an event of their own.

On Saturday, with 20 brave souls signed up to go bald for a great cause, the Connors family joined others in Southern Nevada that have generated more than $1 million locally in recent years.

Four employees of Rachel’s Kitchen signed up to join owner Chris under the buzz of the clippers.

The event is set to continued until 6:30 p.m. Saturday with Fox 5's Lauren Murphy playing the gracious hostess for the event.
