Rapid Rehab owner buys at One Queensridge Place

Entrepreneur Greg Walski, part owner and operator of the Rapid Rehab private Pilates and fitness studios, sold his $1.5 million Malibu, Calif. home and came to Southern Nevada, purchasing a $1.7 million condominium at One Queensridge Place in the northwestern valley.

Rapid Rehab is a Pilates-based physical therapy facility, private Pilates studio and fitness center founded in Brentwood, Calif. The family owned business also has two locations in the Las Vegas Valley.

"One-stop shop for your body," is how Walski, 23, describes Rapid Rehab. "We help you with training, losing weight and physical rehab. In Brentwood, our clientele included Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Harrison Ford, John Cusack and (ice skater) Tara Lapinski."

Rapid Rehab's Las Vegas facilities -- located at 8751 W. Charleston Boulevard, Suite 270 at the corner of Durango Drive, and at 6070 S. Fort Apache Road, Suite 110, south of Russell Road -- have their fair share of prominent patrons, Walski said.

"Celine Dion's dancers (from the show 'A New Day' that ran five years at Caesars Palace), many Cirque du Soleil performers, Lisa and Tim Herbst (of the prominent business family), Chrissi Scinta, Lee Zimmerman of 'The Producers,' Todd Lyght, former cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams, and Steve and Elaine Wynn's daughter, Kevyn, are some of our clients," Walski said.

Walski closed escrow in October 2007 on his condominium with two bedrooms, 21/2 baths, living room, dining area, kitchen and balcony. From his living room and kitchen, Walski said, "I have a 180-degree unobstructed view of the Strip. From my bedroom I can actually see Red Rock mountains."

So enamored of One Queensridge Place were Walski and members of his family that his mother, aunt and uncle purchased the condo next to his.

"It is interesting to combine One Queensridge Place with its Old World style and my contemporary design," Walski said.

The morning of our phone interview, Walski was receiving a delivery of walnut bedroom furniture and a black oak coffee table -- assembly required. "Like Legos but for adults," he quipped.

"My home came all decked out. The security and amenities are incredible. Everyone is so willing to help. One call to concierge and I can get it answered," he said.

Walski said the One Queensridge Place way of doing business is much like the philosophy that guides Rapid Rehab, where all the personal trainers and therapists are licensed or certified.

"My staff and patients are considered family," Walski said.

Two 18-story towers have been completed at Queensridge, a 29-acre project at the corner of Alta Drive and Rampart Boulevard. They offer a combined 219 condominiums, including top-floor units priced at more than $22 million. Floor plans range from 2,000 to more than 16,000 square feet.

The Village at Queensridge, developed by Executive Home Builders, is a $850 million project that also includes restaurants, retail, office and entertainment space.
