NCA to hold 11th annual Contractor Awards luncheon
Brookings Mountain West co-director Dr. Robert Lang will speak at the Nevada Contractors Association's 11th annual Contractor Awards Luncheon Nov. 30, at the Rio All-Suite Resort, 3700 W. Flamingo Road. The event starts at 11:30 a.m.
Brookings Mountain West is a national nonprofit public policy think tank based at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Lang will be joined by television and radio personality Nathan Tannenbaum who will serve as master of ceremonies.
The NCA was formed to address matters affecting the construction industry and to build relationships with local governmental agencies, union trade leadership, the state legislative lawmakers and the governor's office.
The annual contractor awards recognizes excellence, management, leadership and innovation in construction. The luncheon is free for members and $20 for nonmembers and open to the public. For more information or to RSVP, call 222-0320.

NAR to add translation services to its website
The National Association of Realtors announced that Realtor.com, NAR's official website, will add translation services to its United States listings. According to NAR officials, more than 575,000 consumers from non-U.S. destinations visit Realtor.com each month and buyers from 53 different countries bought residential property in the U.S last year.
