Commercial Alliance announces new board
Commercial Alliance Las Vegas announced its 2010 board of directors
CALV newly elected board of directors for 2010 includes some of the top-producing commercial real estate professionals in Southern Nevada.
Garry Cuff, outgoing president of the CALV and a senior director at Commerce CRG/Cushman & Wakefield, said the CALV president for 2010 will be Robin Civish, who works as a senior commercial advisor at Prudential Commercial/IPG in Las Vegas.
Additional CALV officers and board members for 2010 include: President-elect Gary Banner, of Commerce CRG/Cushman & Wakefield; Treasurer Nancy Anderson, of Maverick Real Estate; Director Richard Lybbert, of Summit Commercial Inc.; and Director Patricia Nooney, who works as the managing director at CB Richard Ellis in Las Vegas. CALV also appointed Mike Hillis, managing director of Commerce CRG/Cushman & Wakefield, to fill a vacant spot on the group's board of directors.

Commercial Alliance Las Vegas is the commercial real estate division of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
Using its commercial real estate data base, developed by and for local commercial real estate professionals, it organizes the industry in Southern Nevada through education, networking, promoting professionalism and shaping public policy.

Nevada Contractors to hold ceremony
Miss Rodeo America 2009 Maegan Ridely will host the Nevada Contractors Association's 10th annual Contractor of the Year Awards Dec. 1, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Convention Center, 3700 Flamingo Road. The event starts at 11:30 a.m.
The awards are considered the industry's highest honor, recognizing excellence in construction. There also will be a free raffle for National Finals Rodeo tickets.
The NCA was formed by contractors for contractors as a organization to represent them in matters affecting the construction industry. The NCA works with the local governmental agencies, the union trade leadership, the state Legislative lawmakers and the governor's office.
