Reid to be inundated with tub toys

If nothing else, Sen. Harry Reid may end up with scads of stocking stuffers for his grandchildren and other small fry as one Republican group is proposing to inundate him with rubber duckies.

In a fundraising bid, the organization headed by former Republican Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian says it will package duckies and send them to Reid's home in Washington at the Ritz-Carlton.

The message behind the duckies? Republicans don't want Reid, the Senate majority leader, to schedule votes on contentious issues during the upcoming post-election lame duck Senate session.
