Reid’s family hits the stump

As Sen. Harry Reid continues to lay the early groundwork for his reelection next year, he's calling in all the troops, including lesser-known members of his family.
This weekend, Reid's son Josh does some outreach for his dad to the Hispanic community. Josh, an attorney in Las Vegas, will be the keynote speaker at the Hispanic Student Union Mother’s Day Festival on Saturday, according to an e-mail to Democratic Party supporters.
Sources say the Senate majority leader is trying to create a better connection with Hispanics, whose increasing turnout and increasingly Democratic voting habits are making them an important electoral bloc.
Josh, who has run unsuccessfully for office in Utah, happens to live next door to former Rep. Jon Porter in Henderson. Porter was once considered a top potential Republican opponent for Harry Reid.
