Rhodes prepares X-it for official opening
May 6, 2007 - 9:00 pm
Rhodes Homes will celebrate the official opening of X-it, a 178-unit, townhome-style condominium development in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley, on May 17. The party will take place poolside at the X-it sales and recreation center from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
"We are so excited for our opening celebration at X-it," said Glynda Rhodes, vice president of interior and architectural design at Rhodes Homes.
"We decided to go with an evening, mid-week cocktail event instead of the typical Saturday or Sunday family-style event to appeal to home buyers that are looking for a lifestyle to go along with their home. We have chosen an Asian-influenced cocktail menu that is sure to appeal to guests ... and we'll be providing valet service," Rhodes said.
"We are also in the process of putting together some great goodie-bags to be handed out the night of the event. In addition to the goodie-bag, we will also be giving away a themed party gift to the first 200 people, but you'll just have to show up to see what it is."
The modern/contemporary townhome-style residences are decorated with a color palette of seven variations of lime green, steel blue, grey and brown.
The color scheme, along with the interior features, sets X-it apart from the typical condominium communities around the valley, according to Rhodes.
The residences are of three-story design and range from 1,663 to 1,759 square feet. Each comes standard with an attached, two-car garage, first floor courtyard and a second floor terrace.
The 1,663-square-foot Plan A offers one bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, hobby room, great room and loft. A second bedroom is an option in this plan.
The 1,690-square-foot Plan B is a two-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath design with great room and den.
Plan C is a 1,759-square-foot plan offering up to three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, a great room and bonus room.
Prices begin in the high-$200,000s.
Granite countertops, kitchen pantry, Moen faucets and Shaker-style cabinetry are standard.
Also included are raised-panel interior doors with chrome handles and surround sound prewiring in the great room.
The residences meet or exceed Energy Star ratings, with the builder's use of blown-in cellulose insulation, low-e windows, programmable thermostats and 40-gallon gas water heaters.
Construction has been completed on the 2,400-square-foot workout facility and residents clubhouse. The building offers a multi-purpose recreation room, exercise room, full kitchen and a lounge/media area.
Designed to complement the contemporary style of the condominium complex, the clubhouse will provide access to services such as the pool, spa and deck area.
The gated development is located near Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, and offers a short commute to the Strip. Shopping, hospitals and other facilities are within proximity.
To reach X-it from the south, take the Beltway west to Tropicana Avenue. Turn east on Tropicana. X-it is located on the northeast corner of Tropicana and the Beltway. Visitors from the north can take the Beltway east and exit at Tropicana, heading east. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
